What we collect

We collect only what's needed to create and deliver your messages:

• Names you provide (yours and your recipient's)
• Email address (when you create an account)
• Messages and tributes you create
• Personal details you share during the writing process (traits, relationship, “inside track” details)
• Photos, videos, or voice recordings you upload
• Purchase history (if you use premium features)
• Push notification tokens (if you enable notifications)

Account creation is optional. You can create free messages without signing up.

What we don't do

• ✕We don't sell your data
• ✕We don't use your messages for advertising
• ✕We don't train AI models on your private content
• ✕We don't read your messages unless you ask for support
• ✕We don't use analytics or tracking tools
• ✕We don't collect advertising identifiers or device fingerprints

Your words belong to you.

Services we use

We use a small number of trusted services to run iSimplySaid. Here's exactly who they are and what they receive:

• Supabase — stores your messages, account, and uploaded media. Our primary database and file storage.
• Google Gemini & OpenAI — generates your messages. We send relationship details, occasion, and personal traits to create your tribute. We do not send your email, account ID, or device information.
• Stripe — processes payments for premium features. Stripe receives payment details only, never your message content.
• Resend — delivers notification emails (e.g., when a tribute is opened or a time capsule is unlocked). Receives recipient email addresses only.

No data is shared with advertisers. No data is sold to anyone.

How we protect your data

• All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
• Database access is protected by row-level security
• Authentication tokens are stored in secure, HTTP-only cookies
• API keys and secrets are stored server-side only

Who can see your tributes

Only people you choose.
Tributes are private, unlisted, and not indexed by search engines.

How long we keep things

Digital Tributes, time capsules, and Angel Legacy tributes don't expire.

You can delete them at any time. If you delete something, it's permanently removed from our systems — including all associated media files.

Your choices

At any time, you can:

• Download a PDF copy of your messages
• Delete individual tributes or time capsules
• Request an export of your data
• Delete your account entirely — this permanently removes all your data

If things ever change

If iSimplySaid ever plans to change how your data is stored or used:

• We'll notify you
• We'll give you time to export everything
• Nothing will disappear without warning
